Bleach vs. Rubbing Alcohol : Which one is the better disinfectant?

Winner: Rubbing Alcohol

Why: Rubbing alcohol disinfects when it evaporates (about 20 seconds or less), and has a shelf life of 2-3 years.

Bleach disinfects after the solution has been present on the surface for 5-10 minutes. It has a shelf life of 1 year and if not cared for properly, it loses its disinfecting properties.

Rubbing alcohol is perfect for "porous" surfaces. You can use rubbing alcohol to clean and disinfect granite countertops, stainless steel, wood, blinds, permanent marker messes, and a lot more!

Bleach is great to disinfect plastic shower curtains, laundry (whites only!), tubs and toilets, garbage cans, and a lot more as well!
